Peter Adams Sutherland has a slate, flush with the ground marker, that is approximately 18" x 24". There is plenty of room on it for another name and dates and a cremation burial next to his. There is space for additional flush markers and cremation burials, but no room for additional casket/vault burials and the lot already has a monument on ewith and only one monument is allowed by the cemetery rules. It is the Adams lot with Arthur, Susan, Prudence and Peter Sutherland also buried there.
Either of the local stone dealers we allow to work in Wildwood could add your mothers name to Peter's marker. The size indicates that was the original plan by whoever purchased the marker.
We hope this helps with your decision making.
Sincerely,
Jack Fair
Superintendent
Wildwood Cemetery
There are two Adams plots at Wildwood, one closer to the entrance on Strong Street if I'm not mistaken, and the other on the right side where Charles Dickinson Adams and Susanne Adams and others have stones.
Look how many photo requests there are for gravestones at Wildwood Cemetery on Find-A-Grave.
Take a look at this connection with Emily Dickinson's brother Austin. He was involved in founding the cemetery.
